Since 1843 our family has been making wine in our Masia Cal Pau Palomas in Ódena, Anoia, Barcelona, never get it to market. In 2008, painstakingly we recovered the vineyards and fitted up our Philosophy. The illusion of offering high quality wines that keep the common denominator of elegance, excellence and distinction.

Our business philosophy is based on "terroir", maintaining and restoring native vines Catalunya. Our hope is to produce high quality wines that reflect the expression of our land and which are reflected in our passion and feelings (SENTITS) for wine.

The birth of a project is conceived thanks to the daily efforts of many people, as well as the dreams, hopes and vision of its creators. This is how much work and especially thrilled born Bodegas Puiggrós

quality as a goal, rigor as a method

Quality is our primary purpose underlying all the work of BODEGAS Puiggròs. For this reason, the whole process of development is now dissected to obtain wine.

The harvest is manual thoroughly and collected in boxes of 20 kg. that they are downloaded on a sorting table to ensure that all the grapes reach the entire deposit and completely healthy.

All stainless steel tanks are equipped with temperature control, cooling and heating system. Capabilities deposits are 1,400 liters to 3,000 liters.

We also produce wines in "Anphoras" elaborated on ancient pottery from the south and west of Spain, the capabilities of our "anphoras" are 380-700 liters.

The grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately in deposits / "anphoras" different. It requires each vineyard and wine as varietal.

We perform pre-fermentation cold maceration, fermentation and post-fermentation maceration with regular analytical and quality control both in our stainless steel tanks and in our "anphoras". Once these processes, the wines directly descuban "anphoras" or in barrels of 300/500 liter French oak fine-grained and perform malolactic fermentation and aging in the same barrels or "anphoras". The aging of our wines varies depending on the grape variety between 12 and 18 months.

Our vineyards: a combination of age, terroir, climate and farming

BODEGAS PUIGGROS vineyards located mainly in Ódena and at an altitude between 450 and 650 meters, enjoy a peculiar climate, its unique geography, guidance and the surrounding climates: Mediterranean and Continental. The soils in this area are mainly clay / limescale and gypsum subsoil with physical and chemical varieties that make owning personality.

The growth cycle is long and perform a delicate, long and complex maturation is the key quality potential of this area. BODEGAS Puiggròs Sumoll cultivated varieties, Grenache Noir, Grenache and Carignan.

Our wines

When you drink the wine you must think about the flavor, color and density. But you should also think about the life you lead itself. The start in the land, fueled by the climate, sunshine, educated by the hand of the farmer, the time devoted to maturity, but especially not least of dedication, patience and senses ("sentits" in catalan) of them contributor.
